Simply Selma's opened its doors over 14 years ago, after I decided to create a store in honor of my mother, Selma Axelrod.  My mother represented everything that was gracious, elegant, timeless, and beautiful in my life.  She instilled in me a sincere belief that the cultivation of beautiful surroundings can truly bring a sense of happiness, and satisfaction.  When my mum passed away from breast cancer in 1973, I carried with me her charm, her kindness, and her easy grace,  and promised to build something in my life to remember those qualities.  This store is the fulfillment of that promise.  I hope that the love that went into crafting this space is readily seen, and that our customers recognize the energy, excitement and the exuberant spirit of the store that is Simply Selma's.
